HELLO! =)
haven't been blogging for the past week. i was at level camp!
cultural camp to EAST COAST MALAYSIA, cherating and terenganu.
4G rocks and rule.
WE WON THE SONG COMPETITION and the day 1 DISCUSSION NIGHT PRESENTATION! =)
我永遠不要失去 4g =)
i think this camp is the most exciting and the best camp as compared as to camps previously! this is the camp i really see 4g bond together so much.
DAY 1: 7 May 2007, Monday
woke up super early in the morning, like 5am. my mum drived me, yx and my bro to sch. cheryl was initially taking the car with us, but thn she overslept. tsk tsk. reached sch arnd 6.30am. the sch was so quite and the sky was starting to light up. first time i see mt sinai campus so quiet, another different feeling compared to the normally noisy canteen. went to the hall for assembly, most of 4G ppl bring luggage. haha that was nice. on msn we kept asking each other whether we bringing luggage norts.
so departed for the immigration checkpoint and the way to malaysia! blah blah~ after we cleared malaysian customs, we dunno why waited for so long, everyone was on the bus ler, so we started singing at the back. thn when we started to departing towards cherating, we were slping.
the lunch was so-so, buffet style. but thn i tell u, the toilet is super disgusting. haha cannot flush somemore. yucks! oh yea oso no toilet paper. continue on the day's itinerary, the agro-park. saw alot of fruits, and saw turkey. realised it was not vry good looking, like his brain pop out of his head, and is blue one somemore. the presentation was okae lar, although i dun really know whats the point of it, paiseh.
checked in to The Legend Hotel, Cherating. i think it was a nice place. we dined under the moonlight, so cool. haha. thn went back to my room. bunking with cheryl, and we were staying in villa. yay! took a little walk at the beach, but apparently it was too dark, thn went for the night's discussion. we won, but they prepare the present is for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, but thn in the end 3 best grps, without any order of merit. thn we got the 3rd's prize. lols only like one bar of sweets, that all.
DAY 2: 8 May 2007, Tuesdaybreakfast in the hotel, departed for Terengganu. bus ride wasn't that long as compared to the previous day. activity for the day was traditional activities of terengganu. we went to places that had traditional making of brass works, kite, kris, batik and so on. these places allowed me to see how those things were made. esp for kite making, i think the pros really have lots of patience. they need to be so careful and precise if not it will be very hard to make up any error.
the dinner was prepared by the terengganu state government at the waterfront near the hotel (another hotel). there was a cultural show prepared by them too, and i say that the show was not bad. but by the time we could take food for dinner, it was almost 9pm and i was so hungry that i ate so much. they also gave us this bag containing things that promotes malaysia's tourism.
DAY 3: 9 May 2007, Wednesdayvisited the central market in the mrng after breakfast. i think their market is somewhat different from the market in sg. i didn't buy anything, cause those crackers i still have at home, others, the souvenir and clothes, i wasn't vry much interested in them.
thn we went to the terengganu state museum, really gained some knowledge getting to go in there. and thn we went back to kuantan, stopping at residence inn hotel for dinner. thn andrew was telling this touching story after the dinner, on the bus. the story was abt ray and nicholas.
DAY 4: 10 May 2007, Thursdaythe most interesting and fun day. we all had hands-on experience which were vry unique and meaningful for me. firstly we went for mang kuang weaving, there i weaved my very own mang kaung. kite flying was super fun. audrey couldn't fly hers, so i gave her mine which was in the air alrdy and i managed to fly hers up too. batik painting was fun too!
the most high night: CLASS SONG COMPETITION
it was really exciting to hear each classes' class song. ours were nice, thank you to flea who changed the lyrics, to sean who played the guitar, to ray, andrew, nicholas, sebas, who acted out the actions, to gary who held the mic for the guitar and to all 4G ppl! i think we really put up a great performance. i feel that it was the day class 4g really BONDED ALOT! and we got champion, we felt so great and was super high!
on the way to turtle sanctuary on the bus, everybody was singing song, started by jonathan who sung his 簡簡單單, thn yx, nicole, yann chyng sabooed me to sing 屋頂 with jonathan. okaes lar, i was vry high so i joined the fun. but i forgot the lyrics in some parts, too long nvr sing that song. haha x) thn soon, we spilt ourselves into two grps, the front bus and back bus, and we were soon competing to sing songs with each other. all the way till the sanctuary, and when we got off the bus, we were still singing.
the stars shone so brightly, and it seemed so near that i wanted to pluck one down. so we sang 我可以 lols. time to release baby turtles. when jin wen got the baby turtle, he was like "he's di di scratching against my hand" -.- haha. we named our turtle michael angelo.
waited on the bus, to see if there is any turtle coming up to lay its eggs, but to no avail. our batik painting were given out. however i couldn't find mine. =(
went back, and we had extended curfew till 2.30am. all the girls came to cheryl and my room. we prank called jonathan, and thn some of the girls went to knock on their doors. on the way returing to the room, we were stopped by a tcher. when we told him we had extended curfew, he didn't beleive us, and asked us to return to our room, so we returned to my room.
DAY 5: 11 May 2007, Friday
time for us to return to sg. but we went to the fishing village, where the fish stench was super strong. thn took long long ride again. on the way for lunch, the tire of a bus burst, so we stopped for like 1+ hours waiting for them to fix the tire. we had our lunch like 2+pm, was hungry till dun really wanna eat. while on the bus back to sg, we the girls sitting at the back were sleeping, but the road was so bumpy that we kept waking up when the back of the bus jerked, making us like "fly" from our seats.
returned home, and ate a nice homemade meal.
